Luna Dot offers this website, including its information, features, products and services, to you subject to these Terms of Service. Our online store is powered by Shopify.

By accessing our website or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights or remedies available to you under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, the Privacy Act 2020 or any other applicable law that cannot legally be excluded.

When placing an order, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete information, including your email address, billing information and delivery address.

If you create a customer account, you are responsible for keeping your account details and password secure.

2. Products and handmade variations

We make reasonable efforts to display our products, colours and details accurately. However, colours and product appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, lighting and device settings.

Many Luna Dot products are handmade. Slight variations in size, shape, gathering, pattern placement and appearance are part of their handmade nature and are not considered faults, provided the product remains consistent with its description and overall design.

Product measurements are approximate unless stated otherwise.

We may update product descriptions, discontinue products or limit available quantities at any time. Any change will not affect an order we have already accepted unless we contact you and agree on an appropriate solution.

3. Orders

Placing an order is an offer to purchase products from Luna Dot. An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order but does not guarantee that every item is available.

We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch if an item is unavailable, there is an obvious pricing or product-information error, we cannot deliver to the address provided, we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment, or the order breaches these Terms.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled item or order using the original payment method.

Please check your order carefully before submitting it. We will try to assist with cancellation or amendment requests, but we cannot guarantee changes once an order has entered processing or has been dispatched.

Products purchased from Luna Dot are intended for personal or household use and must not be purchased for unauthorised commercial resale.

4. Prices and payment

All prices displayed on our website are in New Zealand dollars unless otherwise stated.

Delivery charges, if applicable, will be shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Prices, promotions and product availability may change without notice. The price charged will be the price displayed and confirmed when your order is placed, subject to the correction of any obvious error.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that the payment information you submit is accurate.

5. Shipping and delivery

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by courier delays, weather, public holidays or other events outside our reasonable control.

Luna Dot remains responsible for meeting its obligations under applicable New Zealand consumer law. If your order is significantly delayed, lost or damaged during delivery, please contact us at info.lunadot@gmail.com so we can investigate and provide an appropriate solution.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If an order is returned to us because the address provided was incorrect or incomplete, reasonable redelivery charges may apply.

6. Returns, refunds and faulty products

Returns, exchanges, faults and refunds are handled in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy at https://lunadot.co.nz/policies/refund-policy.

For hygiene reasons, hair accessories are treated as hygiene-sensitive products. We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, including where a customer chooses the wrong colour or size or no longer wants the item.

This does not affect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 if a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, unsafe or not as described.

Please contact us before returning any product. We may request proof of purchase, photographs, information about the issue or an opportunity to inspect the product before determining the appropriate remedy.

Normal wear and tear, accidental or deliberate damage, misuse, improper care and damage caused by excessive stretching are not considered product faults.

7. Product safety and care

Hair accessories are not toys.

Babies and young children should use hair accessories only under appropriate adult supervision. Keep products away from a child’s mouth, remove them before sleep and discontinue use if an item becomes damaged or develops loose parts.

Please follow any care or use instructions supplied with the product. Customers are responsible for using products in a manner appropriate to their intended purpose.

Nothing in this section limits our obligations relating to product safety or acceptable quality under New Zealand law.

8. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on this website—including the Luna Dot name and branding, photographs, product images, graphics, written content and website design—is owned by or licensed to Luna Dot Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Shopify’s name, trademarks and branding remain the property of Shopify and its related entities.

Luna Dot’s online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer products to you.

Any purchase made from our store is a transaction directly between you and Luna Dot Ltd. Shopify is not the seller of Luna Dot products and is not responsible for fulfilling your order or providing remedies relating to products purchased from Luna Dot.

11. Privacy

Because our store is hosted by Shopify, certain information is also processed by Shopify in accordance with its privacy practices.

12. Reviews and feedback

If you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, suggestion or other feedback, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not infringe another person’s rights.

You grant Luna Dot a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display feedback submitted for publication in connection with operating and promoting Luna Dot.

We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, offensive, infringing or unrelated to the product or service being reviewed.

13. Errors and availability

Occasionally, our website may contain typographical errors or inaccurate information relating to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, delivery charges, availability or delivery estimates.

We may correct errors and update information. If an error materially affects an order you have placed, we will contact you and provide an appropriate option, which may include confirming the corrected information or cancelling the affected item for a full refund.

You and Luna Dot submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any rights or remedies available under applicable consumer law.
